Lazy Week

Hey! So what have you all been up to this past week? I have been lazy,lazy,lazy... I mean I cleaned house, did laundry, soccer practice, etc...blah, blah. But other than necessities..I did nothing.  I removed the guilt by reminding myself it is January and I am in hibernation.
So I have lots of things to share with you from my shopping excursions the past couple of weeks. Check out this cool little "Pebbles" leopard print fur bow I found at Payless for $4.00! It was 20%OFF.

I can't wait to wear it with these Airwalks, from this post... http://letshike2.blogspot.com/2014/12/wild-side-of-fashion.html

And I picked up this braided dark brown belt at Cato for $3.99! It has great potential for many outfits and was a Fashion Find for sure.

Well it was nice catching up a little bit but I have a million things to catch up on today,,,you know, due to my week of laziness. The price of lying curled in a blanket all week. Sigh...

New Shoes

Hey! So the weather actually warmed above freezing today! The sun was even shining! Everything is muddy outside but we were able to clean the garage and air the house out a little. So that was  rather nice. And getting a mid winter cleaning on the garage will make spring cleaning it go quicker.

Have you ever had that one item you need to complete a new outfit or two(maybe three) and you just can not find it? I have been on the hunt for a black ankle boot for 3 weeks now and I have had no luck! I can't find the right, style, color, cut or heel. And if I find one that will "just do", they don't have it in my size! Frustrating!!!
But I did pick up some other Fashion Finds while I was out shopping the other day for black ankle boots(that I didn't find!). Check out these ankle boots and oxford heels I picked up on clearance at Payless Shoes.

I Love these oxford heels. I wish I would have bought the multi colored style and the black patent leather ones too. I might go back.... I paid $9.60 for these awesome shoes. They were $15 with two 20% markdowns.

Then I found these great caramel brown ankle boot. I love the color and it is comfortable. I wore them already. And they look awesome with leg warmers! Yes! And I scored these for $16.00 with a 20% discount.

I like the double buckle detail on the side. The texture and color will go with most wardrobes.

I am showing some pink sock! lol
I wanted you to be able to see the cut and height of the boot.
I love the way a leg warmer looks with this boot too!

Lovin' the Leggings

Hey! So I just wanted to pop in, say hello and share my love of leggings with you. I love leggings. I don't even care about the whole age appropiateness debate, size debate, long shirt/short shirt over it. I don't even want to hear it. They come in tons of colors, all kinds of designs, they are comfortable, and some of them are warm and fuzzy on the inside. Nuff said. I am wearing them. Haters can keep on hatin'.(they're never gonna say it in front of you anyways! Right?)
And I found these awesome leggings at BodyCentral for $4.25 a pair!!! They are great traditional colors and patterns and I was even surprised at the quality of the material for this price. Plus they are the ones that are fuzzy inside!

Needless to say I am loving these additions to my legging collection. I can't wait to wear them. Which brings us to today. I went shopping for boots. But we will talk about that later.

Fancy Black Leggings

Hey! I have spent the week doing laundry and dishes and hibernating while googling beach vacays. I think I am starting to form a layer of padding. Which means I need to hit the trails and treadmill. :)'
We have made it halfway through January and I am counting down the days until we get past March. I am not a huge fan of our early springs around here. It is usually still chilly and very muddy. But at least it is not freezing anymore by late April.

So I wanted to share these 2 pair of black leggings I found at Cato. I wanted some black leggings that were not just plain. A black legging that added interest to my outfit. And both of these pairs filled in what I was looking for perfectly.

This pair with the faux leather side strip were on clearance for $7.99. They are comfortable and will give a sweater with boots an edgier look or I can wear them with some bolder, rocker style tanks that I own for cooler evenings in summer.

I paid more than I wanted to for these other leggings but the material is of a nice heavy quality and I feel like with proper care I will have these a long time. And this is the kind of design that even if it goes out for a couple of years, it will roll back into fashion. I know because I have had similar pants in the past and my Mom had clothes like this in her closet when I was a child. Fashion rolls back around eventually. :)  So $14.99 isn't too bad. Not what I like to pay, but not bad.

I can wear these with many clothes I already own. And probably several things I will pick up in the future. But I bought these to specifically, at this time, to wear with the  long black side-slit tunic sweater I bought at Wet Seal.   (and posted about here)  http://letshike2.blogspot.com/2015/01/wet-seal-fashion-finds.html

I can't wait to pair them into an outfit. I think the blingy leggings will look awesome through the side-slits! I will post pics of it when I wear it so you all can see it together.

I Bought Baubles

Hey! My blog seems to be collecting some regular views! I am feeling pretty excited about it and have been thinking about connecting with other bloggers or something to gather ideas and insight on how to run my blog better. I hope that some of you are repeat viewers and are enjoying the content of each post. I am always open for comments, constructive criticism or just a thumbs up!

So today I just wanted to show you a couple of pairs of earrings I bought at Cato and then a little something special I found in Mexico this past November.

I bought these earrings at Cato for $1.99 a pair!!!! You can see the original price of $8.00 marked out on the tag. I will be able to wear the gunmetal gray teardrop filigree design with several different blouses and dresses that I already own. I was glad to find a piece at such a great price that I can use to easily change my outfits up.

I like these gold coin earrings and can wear these in so many ways. I think they will be a fun piece to add to casual outfits and believe I can dress them up a little Fancy. :)

And I wanted to share these special pieces I found in Mexico. It was like they were meant to be mine. We did not shop a lot this last trip. The prices were high and we went with the intent to adventure, explore and relax. Not shop. But the second to the last day we went out to buy some coffee, pick up the kids some Mexican candies, a bottle of Tequila, etc. The store gave us a discount on jewelry for our purchase and my husband wanted me to purchase a trinket to bring home. So I began to browse the jewelry cases. And there were many cases. In the last one after not seeing anything I really wanted to spend money on, I found these...

They sat there, the set, together in the case and I knew I wanted them. I didn't even care about the price. I was going to purchase them. And they ended up being only $60 after our discount for the set. I actually released a breath when they gave us the price. You see, these seahorses match my only tattoo. The tattoo that I put on myself to remember and never forget my sister-in-law whom we lost 13 years ago. My seahorse matched my brother's tattoo, a seahorse which was in a crystal ball held by a wizard. And now he too is gone not even a year past.                                                                                                      So you see why they were meant to be mine.

Best Fancy Fashion Finds

Hey! It has reached above freezing for the moment! It is muddy as a pig pen and as brown and gray and dirty as it can be outside but we are healthy and shopping! That is about as good as it gets in January on the Ohio River. :)  I keep researching vacations and looking at beach pictures to get myself through. I have half a mind to take off and camp on a little island I found in Florida. I think for less than $350.00 round trip for 3 people is a pretty good price...

Anywho, I wanted to show you my awesome, most bestest  Fashion Finds of the end of year clearance shopping spree! I can meld both of these pieces right into my existing wardrobe. But the bonus is that both together cost less then $6.50! So great!!!!

  So first these shorts....

I found them at charlotte russe on the clearance rack for $3.99. Yes. $4 for a quality pair of faux leather patch hot pants! lol. No. Seriously, these shorts are going to rock with a pair of heels and I have 3 or 4 really cool and sexy little shirts I can wear with them already. I like to wear clothes like this when we are on vacation without the kids or when we go out to a casino or something. Hey I grew up watching MTV!?.!

Then I found this little tank like blouse at Cato for $1.99. How is this not the bestest Fashion Find of the year!?!
 $2!!!!!!

I love this blouse! I love the chocolate brown color! And I like the shirts with the built in statement piece and these colors are so Caribbean! I just love it! And I can wear it with the brown shorts I posted about in 2014,  http://letshike2.blogspot.com/2014/10/discount-shopping-finds-gold.html   or with just so many things I already own! Score!!!

So I hope these summery, sexy clothes make you feel better about winter blahs. Theses clothes, the prices and maybe, possibly, at this point in the year, a large, fruity, mixed drink containing large amounts of rum and one of those cool little paper umbrellas. Then add fantasies about lying on the beach...

Flowered Goldenrod

Hey! Is everyone else stuck someplace where it is freezing! I hope you're not because I am. I am too cold to even get dressed. I seriously have 2 layers of PJ's on. I am in official hibernation at this point. I hope spring gets here soon. :0  Especially since it is looking like vacation will not be until summertime. I honestly do not enjoy vacation in the summer. Why would I want to leave home when it is warm and the flowers are in bloom.?!?  I prefer winter vacation to escape and break up the monotony of winter. It is still up in the air so we will see.(See if winter lasts too long and we break for warmer weather somewhere!)

So I found several articles of clothing that I had been eyeballing all fall on clearance the other day. And of course I bought them!  I first found this floral quilted jacket at Belk. I have been wanting one and found this one in the junior clearance racks for $9.99. Score!

If you can wear clothing from the  juniors department you will sometimes find better deals and a larger clearance selection.

When I was at Body Central I came across these faux leather quilted pants for $6.37. I love them and think they are perfect with the 80's satin floral jacket. They are very comfortable and I think they are pretty chic.

And then I picked out this goldenrod open chest sweater to wear under the jacket. I love the vibrant richness of the golden color with the black and I think it makes the flowers on the jacket pop out even more. It was on sale for $16.98.

Not on clearance but not a bad price on a sweater that I wanted to complete an outfit. The total for all of the pieces was $33.34.  An entire outfit under $35.00!!!!! Woot! Woot!
I still need to find a pair of black ankle boots that I like. I think that is what would look best with this. Or plain black heels. But I can wear those with lots of clothes. :)
